To proceed with the evaluation process, we kindly request that you follow the steps outlined below:
Send a small sample of the product: Please mail a small sample of your window covering product, along with this application, to the following address: PFWBS Testing Committee 3901 Oak Crest Drive Barnhart, Missouri 63012 Please note that products will require re-testing every 3 years.
Send an additional sample to Bureau Veritas Lab: In order to test your product against our criteria, please send an additional sample to Bureau Veritas Lab. A passing lab sheet is required for the Seal to be used in the USA and Canada.
To cover the assessment costs: To cover the costs of the product assessment, there is a non-refundable fee of $300 per product for this service. Our Testing Committee will conduct in-house assessments, incorporating design verification, document review, and quality plans to ensure ongoing compliance with approved products.
Name Parents for Window Blind Safety as an additional insured on your policy: After approval of your product, please add Parents for Window Blind Safety as an additional insured on your policy. We kindly request that you send us a copy of your policy annually. For products sold in Canada, they must be covered in Canada.
Submit signed documents Submit the Contract, and license agreement.
Assessment process begins Our team will proceed with the assessment process which has a 2-week turnaround rate once products are received.
